Employee interviews Interview

When I was living in Taiwan, I visited the Setouchi Triennale as a tourist. I was so impressed by Kagawa’s natural beauty and mild climate that I thought, “I want to live here!”
I’d grown up watching Japanese anime and TV dramas, and I studied Japanese for four years at university. Those experiences inspired me to decide that one day, I would try working in Japan.
After moving here, I worked in tourism before joining Naigai two years ago.

I inspect incoming products and record the results as data. I check whether the measurements fall within the required standards, and if I find any irregularities or problems, I contact the manufacturing factory to request improvements. I also visit our overseas factories about twice a year to investigate issues and assess ways to resolve them.
Through my daily work, I’m learning the importance of the meticulous attention to detail that characterizes quality control in Japan.

My role is behind the scenes, supporting the work rather than being on the front line like our sales and technical teams. Even so, seeing athletes perform well on television while wearing gloves made by Naigai makes me incredibly happy.
When I told my family back home that athletes competing in the Olympics were wearing Naigai-made gloves, they were just as excited. That moment made me proud of my work and motivated me to keep doing my best.

I feel very secure and supported here.
Through the company’s qualification support program, I earned a Quality Management and Quality Control Examination certification, known as the QC Kentei. It’s rewarding to apply what I’ve learned to my actual work, and I’m grateful to be able to study alongside colleagues who encourage one another.
Since joining Naigai, I’ve rediscovered the joy of learning—not simply to pass a test, but because I genuinely want to know more.
I enjoy being active, so I go running once or twice a week. I also go hiking about once every two months.
Taiwan has a warm climate, so I rarely wore gloves there. But running in Japan’s winter can be cold, so I wear Naigai gloves and get to experience firsthand just how good our products are! [Laughs]
